A Guide to your Galaxy Part 3: Manipura – the solar plexus chakra
It’s our third week and our third chakra, the Solar Plexus Chakra! Let’s get comfortable…

Galaxy Guide - Solar Plexus Chakra

3rd - Solar Plexus Chakra

The Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with warmth, comfort, confidence and our ability to control our lives. Located between the ribcage and naval area this chakra deals with self- confidence and enables us to make important decisions and take action. Through spending time around a bonfire with friends or enjoying a walk in the light of the sun, the element of fire will help strengthen this chakra. Eating yellow coloured foods like corn, grains, pineapple, squash, banana and tumeric as well as drinking chamomile or ginger tea, this chakra begins to balance.

Crystal Therapy TIP

Wearing / surrounding yourself with yellow stones or crystals such as citrine, amber or gold tigereye is said to benefit in healing and aligning the solar plexus chakra.

I DO enough, I am enough. I am positively empowered and successful in all my ventures

Hakini – Place the tips of your three middle fingers together to form a point, then, with the tips of the thumbs and pinkys touching, form a triangle. Hold this mudra over the solar plexus. Chant the bij sound RAM

Visualize a ball of fire and watch it rise to the sun. Feel that same sensation with your solar plexus as it rises to the sun and stretches your spine and torso up as high as possible. Breathe in as you do this. Exhale, relax and repeat. Feel the energy radiating out to your entire body filling it with warmth and light
