Cinco de Mayo

Celebrate with Spice - Cinco de Mayo

It's time for Cinco de Mayo! While many still believe it to be a celebration of Mexican Independence, Cinco de Mayo actually commemorates the Mexican Army's victory at the Battle of Puebla back in 1862. In the state of Puebla, this occasion is celebrated with parades, parties, mariachi music, Mexican folk dancing and traditional foods. It is seen as a day to celebrate culture, achievements and the experiences of people with a Mexican heritage and can be honoured everywhere!
