This variety of feldspar is of the plagioclase variety. It is most commonly found in igneous rocks. The name is inspired by the mineral group it belongs to, but it is technically bytownite which has a composition between labradorite and anorthite. It is translucent with a yellow to greenish hue.

It is popular for stimulating the third chakra and expanding the mental body. It is aligned with the solar qualities of labradorite: vitality, courage, endurance, self esteem, and spiritual focus. It is also used to aid those who feel insecure in social situations.
