Polished blue quartz points are six sided, and polished. Crystal points are often used to direct energies through the apex of a point.

Blue quartz may gain its colour in a variety of ways. Sometimes it is due to fibrous inclusions of magnesioriebeckite, crocidolite or tourmaline. It may also be due to the Rayleigh scattering of light, the same reason the sky is blue. A blue quartz with more silky splotches is usually caused by the inclusion of dumortierite.

No matter the process in which blue quartz aquires its colour, it said to aid in communication with the higher self, others and within. It is also used to enhance organizational abilities, self-discipline and orderliness. It is also ideal for soothing and stress relief.
