Polished blue quartz points are six sided, and polished. Crystal points are often used to direct energies through the apex of a point.

This opaque variety of blue quartz is composed of silicon dioxide and is believed to owe its colour to inclusions of tourmaline, rutile or zoisite. It is often confused with blue aventurine or dumortierite.
