Dragons blood resin incense has a sensual, earthy warmth. It smells sweet and soft, slightly amber-like but more natural and less sticky/sweet smelling than common amber. An ancient incense used for love, protection and to exorcise negative energies. The name dragons blood is due to the bright red colour of the resin. The resin is not usually extracted from just one tree but a specific tree species. These come from the plant groups Pterocarpus, Daemonorops, and Dracaena.
In times past, dragons blood was used for digestive problems and wound healing. It is widely used in ceremonies and spiritual practices for protection and strength. In some cultures it is used for reduction of bacteria and to repel insects.
