Phosphosiderite most commonly forms redish to purplish fibrous crystals but is also found in other hues. This relatively rare mineral is mainly composed of phosphate and iron and is often associated with other phosphate minerals such as apatite. It is found in small quantities at a wide range of localities.

Phosphosiderite is associated with stress relief and a relaxing love energy. When used in meditation it is commonly used to connect with the higher chakras, to create equilibrium and stability.
