The likeness of a rabbit has been hand carved from onyx marble by Peruvian artisans. Stone animals fit easily into gift baskets, shadow boxes and are attractive when put in plants, in the window or a Zen garden.
Onyx is a banded variety of chalcedony. The colors of its bands range from white to almost every color (save some shades, such as purple or blue). Commonly, specimens of onyx contain bands of black and/or white. Onyx is thought to increase regeneration, happiness, intuition and instincts.
Traditionally, rabbits are associated with fertility, sentiment, desire, and procreation. Rabbit people instinctively sense what paths lead to danger, and which to success.
