Silver obsidian is a natural form of volcanic glass, composed of various combinations of basalt, andesite, rhyolite, and trachyte. It is black with a lustrous texture and when you hold this stone to light, flashes of bright silvery inclusions seem to glow from within.

This protective stone shields against negativity. In a ddition it encourages patience and perseverance, making it a wonderful choice as a meditation stone, especially when working on the third-eye chakra. It allows one to see their being as others do.
