Opal aura quartz, also known as angel aura, is the end result of a process which uses intense heat to infuse platinum and silver to natural quartz. The atoms fuse to the crystal's surface, which gives it an opalescent metallic sheen on a colourless crystal.

Quartz is one of the most well-known and abundant minerals on earth. It occurs basically in all mineral environments and is an important constituent of many other minerals.
