Beautiful carved and polished labradorite mini mushrooms. These tiny carvings make a perfect pocket stone or keepsake item.

Mushrooms have a long history of symbolic meaning in various cultures. They are often seen as a symbol of transformation, growth and the cycle of life, as they often grow in decomposing organic matter.

This variety of feldspar is of the plagioclase variety. It occurs within igneous rocks. The iridescent optical effect (schiller) which is sometimes present is caused by very slow cooling which creates mineral layers that refract light. Without this labradoresence (blue, green and sometimes red, orange, yellow), it can be difficult to tell it apart from other minerals present within the rock. The colour of the stone in which it forms is usually grey to black (mafic) and sometimes white. Labradorite is named after its original discovery in Labrador, Canada.

Labradorite is used to assist in accessing the subconscious. It is said to banish fears and insecurities, strengthen faith in the self and trust in the universe.
