Agni manitite is derived from the Sanskrit term: agni mani meaning Pearl of Divine Fire. This rare form of obsidian, found in Indonesia, was formed from extreme volcanic heat, causing it to liquefy.

Agni manitite is said to be a stone of adventure, creativity and confidence. It is also known as a stone of initiation; turning what is merely possible into manifestation. It is popular for healing the sacral chakra.
